ACCEPTING RACE TERMS & CONDITIONS
As a BUD Runway Run 6.0 participant, I accept the obligation to adhere to the race terms and conditions under all circumstances. I also note, that race terms and conditions are applicable also to other participants through the registration made by me.
ABOUT REGISTRATION
This is an invitational race; Budapest Airport primarily invites its business partners to the event. If a person who has not been invited and is not an employee of one of Budapest Airport’s business partners registers for the event, we are only able to accept their registration if it has been previously agreed upon with the organizers (mail to: budrunwayrun6.0@gmail.com). If there has been no such prior consultation, such registrations will be considered invalid. In such cases, the entry fee cannot be refunded and they will be transferred as donation to the foundations specified as the beneficiaries of the race.
REGULATIONS ABOUT PHOTOS, VIDEO RECORDINGS
I accept, that during the race, I may be photographed or recorded. I approve of the taking of photos and video recordings, and accept that these can be publicly used by Budapest Airport. (If you do not accept these terms, please notify the organiser at the event!)
VALIDITY OF DATA
The provided personal data must be valid and accurate. I accept, that my personal data will be stored in accordance with GDPR regulations and used for marketing purposes. I agree that the organiser/Budapest Airport and Balatonman may send me information and written messages about the event to the address and telephone number provided by me.
INVOICING
I accept that an invoice of the entry fee cannot be issued by Budapest Airtport Zrt. The entry fee goes to SUHANJ! Foundation, a donation confirmation can be made on request. (Should you need one, please contact SUHANJ! via ezer.andrea@suhanj.hu)
MY HEALTH CONDITION
I state, that I’m taking part in BUD Runway Run 6.0 at my own responsibility, in appropriate and adequate physical and mental condition. The organiser may not be held responsible for any health issues arising.
TRANSFERRING A REGISTRATION
I accept that a registration may only be transferred from one person to another, if both the “resigning” and the “replacement” runners are the employees of the same company!
REGISTRATION SYSTEM
I accept that the organiser raises the prices as time draws closer to the event. I accept that my chosen registration fee is only valid if I pay in time, within the specified time-limit.
CHANGING T-SHIRT SIZES
Changing the T-shirt size is only possible if the organiser is notified until the registration deadline. T-shirts can be changed until stocks are exhausted..
CANCELLING A PAID REGISTRATION, REFUND
I accept that since BUD Runway Run 6.0 is a charity event, paid entry fees cannot be refunded.
ENTRY FEE
Transferring the fee in time is the participants’ responsibility. If a paid registration is transferred to another person, it is only valid if both persons are employed by the same company.
COLLECTING RACEKITS
Registering and collecting racekits is possible upon showing a photo ID. Please bring your ID card to the event!
START TIMES
Start times are determined by the organiser and can be changed according to the race terms&conditions.
PARKING
Free parking is ensured for 350 cars at the venue. I accept that parking rules must be obeyed at all times for the safety of all participants.
VIS MAIOR
If the race is unsafe or cannot be held due to unforeseeable and unavoidable circumstances (vis maior), especially, but not exclusively due to unfavourable weather conditions, natural disasters, strikes, blockades, or other unexpected, extreme reasons, a new date will be announced by the organiser and my registration fee will not be refunded. The organiser reserves the right to change the event’s venue, date and route.
TIMING SYSTEM FAILURE
In the unlikely event of a timing system failure, the time results of those leading the race will be marked manually by the organisers at the designated points.
WEARING THE RACE NUMBER
The race number must be worn on the front of the t-shirt. A time-penalty may be issued to those athletes who fold, cover or wear their race number in a way that it becomes invisible.
MEDAL
I accept, that I can only receive my medal if I have completed my chosen distance.
CHANGING DISTANCES
A race distance change is only possible until the registration deadline. I accept that the modification is only valid if the difference between entry fees is paid by the given deadline. I accept, that if I change for a shorter distance, the organiser cannot refund the entry fee margin. I also accept that I will not make a repayment claim against the organiser.
EXCLUDED FROM THE RESULTS
are the athletes not completing the designated race distance, or not using the timing chip properly.
LITTER LAW
Throwing away trash is only allowed at aid stations, from where it is collected after the race by the organiser. Due to safety regulations at an operating airfield, throwing away objects along the course is strictly forbidden. Violators will get a time-penalty.
FORBIDDEN
Rollerblading, cycling, running with a dog or any other animal is not allowed. Persons running without a race number will be removed from the course. Violators will be disqualified immediately. I can only run with a stroller at my own risk, the organiser cannot take responsibility for any accident involving a stroller.
ADVERTISING AND MARKETING ACTIVITY
Along the course of the race, at refreshment and relay points, in the race centre, advertising and marketing activities can only be carried out with the prior written permission of Budapest Airport Zrt.
SPONSORS
Athletes invited onto the stage or podium during the medal ceremony may have their national flag with them, but they are not allowed to display their sponsors without the prior permission of Budapest Airport Zrt.
REGULATIONS CONCERNING PARTICIPANTS’ AGE
Every under-age participant must be escorted to be able to participate.
MEDICAL INTERVENTION
For the safety of all athletes, in case the medical staff determines that someone is not in appropriate condition to continue the race, they are entitled to intervene, detain athletes and prevent them from continuing the race.
NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS
The organiser can restrict the number of participants, registration can be closed at any time, in case of technical failure it can be deleted and then reopened.
VALUABLES
The organiser does not take responsibility for any valuables left in the cars or in the area of the race.
RACE ETHICS
The mutual acceptance and respect is one of BUD Runway Run 6.0’s most important principles. The staff and volunteers are working in line with the same principles to ensure the athletes’ safety and well-being. Persons abusing organisers mentally or physically, via messages or in written form will be immediately disqualified.
DRONES
Flying private drones is strictly prohibited.
SMOKING
Smoking is only permitted in the designated smoking area.
